The Political Spectrum
The political spectrum consists of five different political views which are: On the left wing is the political and liberal, the middle is moderate. On the right wing is the conservative and the reactionary. Starting with Radical side first. Radicals agree with John Locke's political beliefs. They believe that there should be very little or no government. Radicals also believe very strong in individual rights. Radicals usually tend to be poor, democratic people from small countries that have had kings of harsh rulers, but not all the time.
Liberals are the next political line of thinking on the left wing of the political spectrum. Liberals tend not to be as dramatic as radicals but tend to have the same beliefs. Liberals want change but within the existing system or government. Liberals want to improve the quality of younger peoples life. They want to shift power from the older more established men to the younger more energetic generation. Liberals tend to be younger non white not wealthy democrats.
Moderates are in the middle of the political spectrum. As their name implies, moderates are moderate. They want a little change, but they would also like to keep things about the same. Many good presidents are good because they go can go from liberal to conservative and make it look good. So basically they are moderates because they never really make up their mind. Most Americans tend to be in between Liberals and Conservatives. So they are really moderates.
Conservatives are people who want to keep the system the way it is. This people like the way things are going and don't want to do anything to change it. People in this part of the political spectrum are usually old, people who tend to be republican. Also many conservatives are ones with lots of power and wealth. Our own President is a Conservative himself. Conservatives want to keep the government the same way it is, but they want to go back in time five or ten years.
Reactionaries are people that want to go way back in time. Back in time when we had slaves and only men could get jobs. These people most of the time tend to be very old. Mostly coming from the south.
